Can’t Escape Love
Unexpectedly, it creeps in at night
You can’t sleep, it carves your appetite…
We try to escape,
We try to run from the deceit and anguish…
But, it taunts you, depriving you of peace
It haunts your body, your psyche
It will haunt you into wanting more,
Its evil, its righteous, its sinfully delightful…
It will find you when you’re healing
It will cage you into holding in your feelings…
Comforting loneliness,
Breathing undying passion…
It’s dangerous and it’s safe…
It will still keep you warm under bitter sheets,
It will tantalize you…if given correctly,
It strokes the marrow of your being, inside, outside, erotically…
You can’t block it,
It’ll make fake pages to antagonize you
To stay close to you…
It’s a drain, it’s a fountain,
It will satisfy you, uplifting you out of your darkest moments…
It motivates after embarrassment,
It punishes you, desecrating your mental until you can’t hide anymore,
Until your feelings explode from drunken truths…
This is what it does; it terrorizes you into surrendering
It kidnaps the peace of you being single,
You can’t escape, because it will stalk you forever…
You can only be brave and be prepared,
Because no matter what you do,
Love is coming…
